It's saturday night just after midnight and I'm not all that tired. Not surprising, considering that back in the states it's only 6 PM (Boston), or 4 PM (Utah), and that I slept for 16 hours last night after a 32 hour stretch of no sleep after a long day of travels. It was pretty crazy to be back in Geneva, and then take a train to Lyon while in a sleepy stupor of thought. The whole thing just seemed like a dream, and I feel so American/out of place here. It definitely seems different from when I was last here, as a missionary, which I expected, but at the same time I remember what it was like being a missionary here so it's the strangest feeling to be back. It's hard to explain. I lived in Lyon twice so coming back has been a little surreal.
While in Geneva I stopped at McDonalds to use the WiFi to check my emails about my housing (which just barely got figured out) and left a message on my Fbook that I was in Geneva, and by the time I was in Lyon I had a bunch of messages, the bulk of which came from my old mission companion Elder Turner, or Spyke as he goes, and he is living in Lyon, so we met up last night and went to the grocery store and then came back to my apt. and hung out till he left for a party that I was way, way, way too exhausted to go to, though I would have liked to. I love meeting new people so It'll be interesting to meet new people here, with different perspectives and views on life, I'm looking forward to it. Anyway, hanging out with Spyke was nice but it was just crazy that he was chillin' with me in Lyon. I had just traveled so much and then all the sudden there he was as if nothing had happened, as if almost three years hadn't past by. It'll probably take me a few days for my brain to catch up with my body and realize I'm living in France haha. Though I mentioned that to Spyke and he said you never get used to it, that it always seems like a dream and then you leave, and he's been here since September. He actually leaves in about 10 days so next weekend we might take a road trip to the beach on the mediterranean, which I am SO down for. I have always wanted to go down to the coast.
As for today, I woke up at 3:30 PM (those window shades really keep out the sunlight) and I took a freezing cold shower, since my water heater isn't working for some reason--that really woke me up--then I worked out some, ate breakfast, listened to music, unpacked, made a sandwich, chatted online, unpacked the rest, ate breakfast again since I don't have a lot of food to choose from yet, and then typed this. It's been a relaxing day I suppose. I should have brought my LSAT book to study from, I think I'll have the time. Oh well. Hopefully I'll get busy with my internship starting monday.

Flight Over the Atlantic
This is my third trip to Europe, which is pretty awesome and fortunate since some people never make it their whole life. The first time was for a German exchange program. The second time was for my mission in Geneva, Switzerland. Now I'm flying back to Geneva and from there will take a train to Lyon, France where I will be doing a two month internship! The fact that this is happening and that I'm going back is so surreal.
